Safety-Critical Systems
A variety of tools are available for building safety-critical systems. Many major on testing and static analysis, some on modelling and verification, and others on documentation needed for certification. These tools support the demands of standards such as IEC 61508, Def Stan 00-56 and DO178B, and must themselves meet stringent requirements laid down in the standards. At this meeting you will be able to hear first-hand experience of applying tools to safety-critical systems, to see many tools in action, and to discuss their merits with both vendors and other users.
Also launched at this meeting is MISRA C++, the much anticipated language subset defined by MISRA, the Motor Industry Software Reliability Association.
