Evaluation Terms and Conditions

Please read the following carefully before accepting this agreement:

Programming Research Inc. (PRI) hereby grants to the Licensee and the Licensee hereby accepts a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive temporary License, valid up to 30 days for the use of the Software as specified in the "Product to Evaluate" section for the purpose of evaluation of the Software only upon the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Title, copyright and all other proprietary rights in the Software and the Documentation and all parts and copies thereof shall remain vested in PRI.

The Licensee acknowledges that the Software is entitled to protection under the copyright laws of the United Kingdom, the United States and the copyright laws of all other nations affording such protection, and the registration of patent laws of the United Kingdom, United States and Benelux Countries as well as under such laws in any other countries in which PRI may from time to time apply for registration of a patent in respect of the Software.

The Licensee shall keep confidential the Software and the Documentation or any part thereof and shall not disclose the same to any third party without the prior written consent or PRI.

PRI and the Licensee shall keep confidential the License and all other information of the other party designated as "confidential" obtained under or in connection with this License and shall not divulge the same to any third party without the prior written consent of the other party.

The provisions of this clause shall not apply to:

(i) Any information in the public domain otherwise than by breach of this License,

(ii) Information in the possession of the receiving party thereof before divulgence as aforesaid,

(iii) Information obtained from a third party who is free to divulge the same.

PRI and the Licensee shall divulge confidential information only to those employees who are directly involved in the License or use of the Software and shall ensure that such employees are aware of and comply with these obligations as to confidentiality.

The obligations of both parties as to disclosure and confidentiality shall come into effect on the electronic submission of this License and shall continue in force notwithstanding the termination of the License.

PRI agrees that the Evaluators may have access to the Software and to the PRI Help Desk support staff for questions and problem resolution during the License period.

Licensee agrees that at the end of the License period the Licensee will remove the Software from all its computer machines and storage devices and return the Software and documentation to PRI and will not use any information obtained from the evaluation for commercial advantage.

The Licensee agrees that it will dedicate the time and resources necessary to complete a thorough evaluation of the Software and will furnish Programming Research with an evaluation report.

Checking this box indicates that you have read, understand, and accept all of the above Terms and Conditions of this evaluation and license agreement.

How To Obtain Your HostID

In order to enable QA·C or QA·C++, it is required that a valid license key is generated for the hosting machine. To accomplish this, a valid Host ID must be supplied.

Instructions:

1. Please download the lmutil utility for your platform, by clicking your platform below.
   Alternately, you can use the equivalent system commands in the "Alternative Method"
   column to achieve the same result, but be aware using lmutil is preferred method.


2. Unzip the utility in a temporary directory.

3. Run as follows: lmutil lmhostid
   Example:

   C:\flexlm>lmutil lmhostid
  lmutil - Copyright (C) 1989-2002 Globetrotter Software, Inc.
  The FLEXlm host ID of this machine is "00023d36df9a"

4. Please insert the appropriate lmhostid that is generated on the command line into the HostID field on the Evaluation Form.
